⚠️ Topo Cidrão — Crag Closed ⚠️

Unfortunately, Cidrão is no longer a viable climbing area.

Following a year-long water-diversion project carried out by the Regional Government of Madeira, extensive works were carried out throughout the valley. Access for large trucks and heavy machinery resulted in the destruction and removal of almost all of the boulders in the area, making the former climbing sector no longer suitable for bouldering.

For this reason, we are no longer maintaining or updating the Cidrão topo, and we do not recommend travelling to this area for climbing.

Current climbing area

At the moment, the only suitable bouldering area we recommend is the beach sector in Ponta do Sol.

We are currently working on developing and documenting this area, with new problems and topo information to be added as the sector progresses.
